Louisiana
Louisiana boasts the second largest percentage of Black people, right behind its neighbor Mississippi. Louisiana also consistently ranks in the bottom ten of states when it comes to economy, education, health care, infrastructure, and crime. Our communities deserve better.
In 2023, we began our work in North Monroe, knocking on doors and making thousands of calls to turn out Black voters in that year’s elections. Since then, we have launched a digital canvassing team and have hired staff in the state to expand our base of supporters and volunteers and continue our work of listening to Black people on Monroe and surrounding parishes.
